Grandparent's Day

At CPA, our tradition is to celebrate "Grandparent's Day" the Friday before Mother's Day every year. This is an elementary program, and since Peyton is a 5th grader, it's our last one for a few years...until Macy Li goes to Kindergarten, which we DON'T want to talk about! The theme this year was "I Love To Tell The Story" and was a sweet program centered around the traditions of family and the richness that Grandparents pour into our life-stories...

Catchin' Up...

Wow, it's been a while. All you moms out there know that May is busier than December, and add to that a couple of weddings, a son graduating, Baccalaureate, Grandparent's Day, Mother's Day, about 100 parties/showers/teas, a 22-month old wreaking non-stop-havoc, and suddenly you have NO time to blog or read friend's blogs! In the midst of all this, I'm forcing myself to stop for a while this morning and try to re-cap the last few weeks, b/c if I don't, I'll never catch up. As I said a couple of posts ago, it's a heart-wrenching season....While in some ways it's a little sad to mark the end of this chapter, this time serves as a reminder of God's faithfulness over the years and of His favor every step of the way... and so our hearts are filled with gratitude for our incredible kids who we love so much. The boys are maturing and we're enjoying a new kind of "friendship" with them that doesn't feel so much like parenting. It's fun. They're way cool. And we are loving this season!

Okay, here are a few pictures from our friend, Jessica Lee's wedding a couple weeks ago...
