Christmas Memories

Happy New Year, everybody!  Hope all of you are off to a great start in 2010!!  I decided to post some of our Christmas 2009 highlights...Warning:  This is gonna be long, but it's mostly for us when we're too old to remember (like tomorrow) and for out-of-town family and friends.  Enjoy!

Macy Li swinging at Nannie's on Christmas Eve morning

Macy Li praying with her cousin

Cabbage Patch Baby

China doll from Nannie

Cousins

Papa and Macy Li

Nolan and Nannie

Puttin' on her lipstick before Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at church

Leaving for church

She sang her heart out and held on to that candle for dear life!

After church, our friends the Manuels, came over for our annual
Pajama-Christmas movie party...

All these kids are growing up so fast!

Cookies for Santa!

Waking up Nolan on Christmas morning...

Running to see the dollhouse Santa brought...

Our house has never seen so much pink!

Tater :)

This little $3 camera was her very favorite gift!

Ty

Nolan

Oh no, make-up!

Piggies!  We love 'em, but she won't leave 'em in...

All the girls greeting Papa...

My sister and her family in their matching Christmas jammies

When Macy Li saw the girls in their scarves, she had to have one herself...

My sister and I joined in with the pig-tails
(*Note:  she's 12 years younger than me! ;))

Prayin' before our annual Christmas dinner...
Notice all the peekers...busted!

Our annual Christmas dinner...

Jennifer, Papa, McKenna and Me

Nolan:  "Is there something in my teeth?"
Honestly, I think our name should be Griswold!
Never a dull moment at our dinner table!  Proper, we're NOT!

All my boys, what can I say?

Here, Maggie Leigh (3) is saying "The Pledge of Allegiance" for us...
Clark Griswold:  clearly moved, in his Clark Griswold-way
Tyler Griswold:  bored out of his mind
Peyton Griswold:  hahaha!
Grandma Griswold:  thoroughly enthralled
I told you, it's crazy around here!

After an hour of sitting around the dinner table, the natives got wrestless and
decided to "go camping" under the table!

Then, it was more gifts...
Nolan, "Goggin" and Tyler

Beautiful Maggie!

Fancy Nancy in all her glory!

The next morning, the girls had to beautify themselves...

Bath-time...

Macy & Granny (100) totally into each other...

Awww...

Trouble!

Macy-Sandwich

The girls came down in these costumes they found in Macy Li's closet...

3 little monkeys jumping in the bed...

Future Marthas...

She's gonna kill me for this one, but this is my Type A, completely organized
sister freaking out over how messy my pantry was...so I said, "Knock yourself out!"
And she did...and I did with the camera! haha!

Here are the rottweilers tearing into my peanut butter cookies...

There's more to come...stay tuned.

Your Christmas pictures are beautiful!! Just wondered if you could let us know where you found the beautiful Asian, glass ornaments. So sweet, would love to have three of those hanging on our tree...next year:) We are a family of seven, my three youngest daughters were all born in China. Happy New Year to you, and, you family.

Rhonda said...

Hi Diane!

Looked for your email, but it wasn't there....The ornaments: I bought those at Pier One last year ('08) prior to Christmas. I gave several as gifts and I do love them too! Every year, I look for unique Asian or Chinese ornaments to add to our tree, and I always find one or two there, as well as ChinaSprout and other places online. Anyway, thanks for the compliment and I hope you find something similar.

Good a.m., Rhonda:

Thank you for sharing on the precious ornament! I hopped right on over to Pier One's sight:( nothing to be found online, however, maybe in the stores!! Anywho, you have given me ambition to be on a hunt throughout this year for our tree of 2010(hard to imgagine time flying sooo quickly).

May you and your family find many Blessings awaiting you throughout this New Year.

Thank you for taking the time to share about the ornament!! Not sure where the email address goes, computers are pretty much my challenge:)

Hi Stacy F. from Arkansas,

Well, I have no clue, so I just asked my hubby and he said a Canon 5D, Mark 1. The lens he uses the most is 70-200 2.8, 24-70 4.0

Now, that's Greek to me! It's his expensive hobby, but he's really never had any instruction on how to use all this. I've been telling him that he needs to take some classes, and he promises he will.

As for me, I use one of those little teenager pocket cameras that's under $200 (as you're looking through our pics, it's rather obvious when I use my camera vs. when he uses his).....even at that, I'm challenged. It's really sad.

Anyway, thanks for the compliment! Hope that made sense...not sure if I typed it the way it's supposed to read.

Blessings!

So happy to have found your blog. It seems we share a mutual bloggy friend, and a mutual bloggy award (thanks Kim!!) Looks like I picked a great time to stop by, as this post is filled with GREAT photos of your family. Such a fun introduction!! You have a truly gorgeous family, and so many of your photos just touched my heart. From the photo of your hubby holding Macy at the Christmas even service (I loved how they were holding the candle together and how you could clearly see his "Pray for China" bracelet!) to the 'boys' photo, to the pj movie party (LOVE that idea!!)...to the girls in their matching dresses...to you and your sister in your matching piggy tails!! ...to your BEAUTIFUL Christmas decor. LOVED it ALL!!

Look forward to perusing through your blog and getting to 'know' you better in the future. Any friend of Kims is a friend of mine!!

Blessings and Hugs,
