Weekend with the Cryers

We just wrapped up a great weekend with our friends, Rusty and Lesli Cryer and their 3 wonderful kids, twins Hudson and Hannah, and little Joshua. These were friends we met this very time last summer in China. They were in our travel group, and adopted Joshua from Shenyang. He was about 22 months at the time, and was "special needs," due to a cleft lip and palate. He is the most adorable little boy you've ever seen. Anyway, we loved the Cryers, and so they traveled from their home in Whichita, KS to spend the last 5 days with us. We had a great time of fellowship with them and below are some of the highlights of our weekend together...

What a cute family! Looks like you all had such a fun time! We are getting ready to meet up with our travel group for the second year. Such strong bonds we make with people who were once starngers during this process.....a wonderful blessing!

I could just cut and paste your comments from my blog right back at ya! Seriously ... It looks like a wonderful time of fellowship. Wishing we were there to crash the party. Seeing our old stomping grounds tugs at my heart a bit. I especially love the "kissy" photos! Cannot believe it's been almost a year since your angel baby came home!
Love & Miss You Guys!

How wonderful that you've been able to continue a relationship with your travel mates. We just met up with one of Josie's orphanage crib mates in Washington DC last week and it was so fun to get the girls together again.

I found your site through Joni Nesbitt's, she along with her sisters and I went to high school together!

I have two boys of my own and would like to have some advice since you have three boys. My husband and I are very involved in church and my husband is asst. youth pastor at our church.

As a mom of three, what is the best advice you can offer me in raising them to be successful, loving young men. Your boys seems so full of life, loving (with Macy) and very grounded. I know we are doing right by raising our boys in church and feeding them the Word but the every day hussle and bussle is what overwhelms me. The boys will be boys motto!!!!

Thanks so much, you seem like a wonderful mother, congrats on adopting Macy! May God continue to bless you all.
