Friday Night Lights...Game One

With everything else going on, I didn't get a chance to post these cute pics from Friday night's football game...

Seeing that #11 jersey worn by anyone other than Tyler is not fun!  (But he's another "Nolan", so we like him!!  ;) ha!)

Speaking of Tyler: He started his classes at Samford yesterday and so far, so good. He really likes his professors and is meeting a lot of new friends and having a great time as a college student! This past weekend was geared toward getting the freshman class orientated with their "Connections" program, which seemed to be enjoyed by all of 'em. He's blessed to be rooming with 2 of his childhood friends, David and Ryan, and a new friend he's recently met, also from Brentwood. We're so thankful for the smooth start and can't wait to go back down there for "Family Weekend" in mid October. Please continue to pray for him....and me ;) I'm doing well, but I miss his smiling face, his continuous singing and whistling, and yes, even his laundry and messes!

Bless your heart -- it is hard to send one off to college! I'm sure he'll do fine and you will too!

And look at your little sweetie -- she is really growing and having fun with her brothers!

Family weekend will be here before you know it!

I was wondering how you could put up a post with no pictures of Macy Li. I mean it was nice to see Tyler's dorm room and his buddies and all, but come on, what we really want is more Macy Li!!

I'm glad your boy got settled and is having a good first week. The thing that I think is probably the most scary is how quickly the "new normal" becomes "normal". I know you can't wait for Christmas break to come so you get a big ol' chunk of time with your family all together. I find myself counting the days til breaks and my kiddos coming home.

She is absolutely adorable!!! She is looking more grown up, especially with that long hair. I've been following your blog since you first brought her home ... it's hard for me to watch her get so big, I can't imagine what it's like for you! ha

I just love Macy Li's cheer outfit! She's just too precious. I always get a clothes fix whenever I see her latest pictures.

I'm sure it must be bittersweet to have your son gone. October will be here soon (I'm certainly pushing for it since I can't make it go back to July). How nice that he has close friends to navigate through his first year of college.

Hugs!!

OMGoodness, is she just the CUTEST thing ever! I always like getting me my Macy Li fix! LOL!

As for hair..let Nolan know that Lucy had the THINNEST hair ever until just this past winter. Macy Li has more hair now then Lucy had when we adopted her at 16 months. You all are ahead of the game! :)

I'm glad to hear it is going well for your son. We are actually visiting Samford on Sept 4(on the way to Destin). Gracie has had Samford on her short college list for a while. She really likes Union University(in Jackson),too. We will be right where you are in one year! God has been so good to help me somehow prepare for this exciting time, but it will be very hard when it actually gets here!

I hope Tyler has a great year!!!
