Happy Birthday, Macy Li!!!
With her there, and us here, you can only imagine how this mom's heart aches today....not to even mention how her birth-mom's heart aches. I cannot begin to fathom what torment she found herself in that early summer morning when she was forced by circumstances beyond her control, to relinquish this beautiful little child she'd carried in her womb and given birth to. I know that she wanted to be sure that her baby was found and cared for because of where she left her and when. I wonder today what she's thinking...I believe I know what she must be thinking. It's odd how I feel a strange connection to a lady half-way around the world whom I've never met, and probably never will. Her sacrifice became our greatest gift. Eternally grateful, I will forever love and pray for her. I will never forget her, and I'll tell Macy Li that she must have been a courageous and loving person.

Amen ... I pray for my sweet birth mothers all the time ... I just know how beautiful their hearts must be and how much they must hurt on some days ... I always pray that God will take His love to them for comfort and that somehow they must know how loved and cherished their sweet girls are now ...

Happy Birthday, Macy Li! What excitement and joy come through your posts. I can't wait to meet her. Her birth mother is on my mind, too, as we celebrate. Hopefully, she will know in her soul that her child will have a loving forever family. Connie
Happy 1st Birthday, sweet Macy Li. I understand the bittersweetness of the day, the thoughts toward the brave birth mama, and the longing you have for your girl. Soon, very soon.....
I spent Maggie's 2nd birthday the same way, just aching to hold my little girl. You will be there soon and you will have many more b'days to celebrate in the future!!
She will be in good hands and she will see her next birthday cake.New mother and child reunion ...
I stumbled upon your blog by accident and I know it was by divine intervention that I did. I am a birth mom. I loved what you wrote here as I pray for my children's adoptive parents all the time. You are truly an amazing person and I just thought you should know that. My email address is marchar1321@hotmail.com. I am also a quilter and I would love to make a block for Macy Li's wish quilt. My name is Marlene Charbonneau from Norfolk, VA. You all are in my prayers!
Happy Birthday, Little Macy in China!
Praying for Macy right now...that God is holding her close and preparing her heart for her family! You are so close now! Every birthday from here on out will be spent in the loving arms of her family! What a beautiful future to look towards!
I have felt the same way towards the birth mother for our Lydia...I have been praying that God would use this event in her life to draw her heart to Him...as only He can. The thought of giving up a baby is heartwrenching...but she was courageous and wanted to do what was best for her child. And God will use it to expose Macy to his gospel...through your family! That's exciting!!!
I will be praying for you and following your journey in China!
Blessings to your family!

I'm OVERJOYED that your long wait is almost over...and that Macy's longing for a mommy, daddy, and brothers is almost over--she will soon be with you- her forever family! Your lives will never be the same! I can't think of a more wonderful family to love and nurture her. Isn't our God so amazing that He would entrust us with these precious children? I can't wait to squeeze her and share you joy. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
